Barnsmore windfarm
An installation of twenty five 600kW turbines

A new grid-connected battery energy storage system (BESS) is installed to meet a minimum requirement of 3MW/1.5MWh storage. Existing 22kV switchgear to be replaced with a new containerized switchgear. Some of the protection will be replaced and the rest will Be utilized. New PQM, FR and metering panels were introduced at both sides, 22kV and 132kV grid side.
EHK Ltd played a key role providing the system interface between all the existing and new components in the most efficient way, introducing marshalling Kiosks, ferrule system and schematics modifications where needed. Furthermore, Live testing and sectional proving, along with overall system onsite testing was provided.
